Yeah, yeah, yeah -- I'm tired of the Kinko's pictures, too. This is a special Kinko's, though -- our first. It was here in Bozeman back in June that we first discovered the power of Kinko's. The power of free dial-up access to the Internet. The power of trust. The power of low-wage workers who don't particularly care what you do in their place of employ. We offer today's lead-in picture as a warm memorial to those first fuzzy moments of Kinko's-love. Share the love, folks. Share the love.
Bozeman didn't start our day, though -- the best camping spot in the world did. Situated below a big cliff and surrounded by pines, this spot was quiet, verdant, and ever so slightly pastoral. We woke up feeling great. I felt like painting a landscape. Birds were singing all around and the sun was gently warming Otto's insides. It was a wonderful morning, and we took our time unfolding our way into it, enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the sun. |
Then, we realized it would never be leisurely again. Not for those such as us who need to be in California by Friday. Our long string of 500+ mile days continued as we blistered our way down I-90 straight to Bozeman. It took a long time, but eventually we could no longer hear the rumble of the Harleys...peace at long last.
Reliving a favorite memory of the Odyssey in Bozeman -- FTP'ing from the Kinko's down by the college -- was enough fun for us. We headed out after that, bound for the Gallatin National Forest to camp. We camped, exhausted from the long day on the road.
We close the Shortest and Most Boring Update from the Odyssey on record with a dynamite shot of Kristanne brushing her teeth. Folks, don't kid yourself -- oral hygiene matters.
Join us tomorrow as we head for Salt Lake City. Shenanigans will no doubt ensue as we attempt to get Otto's oil changed, pick up our mail, and get some work done. See you then!
